A stray cat walked up to humans because he wanted to find somewhere warm for winter and finally live the comfortable life he had been dreaming about.

At the start of this month Little Wanderers NYC got multiple calls asking them to rescue street cats because winter was coming fast. People had seen two friendly cats in their area trying their best to stay alive in the freezing weather and dangerous outdoor conditions.

The rescue explained that the temperature was colder than normal & many people were struggling with money more than usual but they could not ignore animals that were suffering. Volunteers immediately got to work. When the day ended they had actually rescued four cats instead of just two.

One of the cats was named Jingle and he won everyone over right away. When someone came near him he stood up on his back legs asking to be petted. After getting a few gentle strokes on his back he started following the person around because he wanted to go home with her.
A foster volunteer named Carla decided to take in Jingle along with Holiday who was a dilute calico and Tinsel who was a gray tabby. Another orange tabby called Klaus needed medical care for an injury so he went somewhere else. Soon after the cats were rescued it started snowing and cold weather moved into the area. The streets became more dangerous as time passed but the cats were already inside where it was warm & they had food & were protected.

They were very happy to be off the streets. Jingle adjusted to his new surroundings almost right away & stretched out his paws looking comfortable. Jingle was a young tabby cat who had lived outside his whole life until the weather got too cold & dangerous. Someone finally brought him to safety and now that he was indoors he showed everyone how friendly he really was. His charming personality really came out when he found some toys and he chased them around the house with lots of energy.

He is loving and gentle with people. He enjoys staying close to his humans and will follow them from room to room for companionship. When he wants attention he makes soft sounds. He has moments of playful energy but calms down easily once he feels comfortable. This creates a nice mix of activity & relaxation. Jingle became completely absorbed by his reflection in the mirror. He stood up on his back legs like a meerkat to get a better look at the cat staring back at him.

At about two years old Jingle now has a comfortable bed instead of sleeping on concrete or frozen ground. He is getting better from a cold and gaining weight with good care and love.

He loves all the soft items around him and kneads with his paws when he touches a blanket while purring loudly.
Β Jingle enjoys being around people and other cats & always wants to cuddle. He has adjusted well to living indoors and often sleeps with Holiday after they play together. They stay warm and happy inside during winter without worrying about food.

The volunteers worked hard to help Jingle and the other cats get away from the freezing weather and receive proper care. Now these cats have better lives ahead of them with loving homes and good treatment. Jingle has spent his whole life outdoors and now needs a stable home with warmth and someone to care for him.
