A dedicated bottle feeder provided constant care and the kittens became bigger and stronger with each passing day. After they no longer needed milk the three were moved to Jennifer’s house where her own cats were waiting to meet them.

Jennifer said the kittens were incredibly sweet and playful & craved lots of attention. She mentioned they started purring as soon as she spoke to them even while they were still inside their carrier.

The trio adapted to their new surroundings without much trouble but they had one clear goal in mind. They wanted Jennifer’s complete attention at all times. Whenever she walked into the room all three kittens would start meowing loudly & stand up on their back legs while begging to be petted and held.

Their high-pitched meows and constant running around quickly got the attention of the cats who lived there named Bear and Bodie. The two cats waited near the door because they wanted to come inside and see the new arrivals.

Β Bear and Bodie were familiar with having foster kittens in the house. They had helped many young cats before by showing them how to play and teaching them how cats should behave.

Bodie walked into the room with confidence and his fluffy tail pointing upward. The kittens had never seen a cat as large as him before and they were shocked.

Β They tried to make themselves appear larger by puffing up their fur. Firefly was a tortoiseshell cat and Beetle was a small black cat. They both hissed at Bodie when he came near them.

Bodie did not seem bothered by this reaction and simply walked past them to get to the food bowl. He seemed to understand that they were not actually dangerous.

The kittens were unsure when they first saw Bodie. They watched him closely and puffed up their fur as they walked behind him. Beetle hissed the most but she also hisses at her toys when she plays.

When Bodie sat on a cat tree the kittens stared at his fluffy tail moving side to side. They sat next to each other & watched until Beetle stood on her back legs to touch his tail. Eventually they learned that his tail was not frightening.

After some time Bear started playing with toys and showed the kittens what to do. The three kittens copied him and became more comfortable.

Firefly felt drawn to the household cats and would curl up next to them for cuddles or grooming time. Jennifer explained that what Firefly craves most is affection from humans.

She could be holding the kitten close against her chest while giving her plenty of attention & Firefly would still meow because she wanted to be even closer. Simply looking at her was enough to start her purring.

The kittens trailed behind the resident cats constantly & looked forward to whatever came next. Even with toys scattered around the room Bear seemed to enjoy playing as much as the little ones did.

They watched him with fascination as he batted at the feather toy with skill. Bear acts like an oversized kitten according to Jennifer.

The kittens grew into self-assured and energetic young cats with distinct personalities thanks to learning from the older feline residents. Once they were old enough for adoption all three found permanent homes before Christmas arrived.

Bear & Bodie feel satisfied with how they helped raise the kittens and are prepared to mentor the next group of foster kittens that arrive.
